Minutes
May 10, 2006
The meeting of the District Level Team was called to order on May 10, 2006 at 12:30p.m. at the Central Office board room.
Members attending: John Whetzal, Lisa Schmitz, Shelly Hasenkamp, Karen Morton, Melissa Kennedy, Ruth Ann Pralle, Michael Ulmer, Dean Dalinghaus, Vicky Meyer, Brenda Bergman, Linda Roeder, Beth Reust, Patrick Meier, Vicki Adams, Sherri Alverson, Tom Schroeder, Rhonda Trimble, Sharmon Polson, and Pam Slifer
1. MAP Informational Session (Greenbush Presentation)
2. (1:23p.m.) Approval of Agenda (any additions).
Sharmon Polson moved to approve the agenda with the addition of: discussion on Inservice Points Timeline, MAP and PDC Elections.
Sherri Alverson seconded the motion. Motion carried 17-0.
3. Approval of April 8, 2005 minutes.
Dean Dalinghausmoved to approve the minutes.
Sharmon Polson seconded the motion. Motion carried 17-0.
4. Plans for August 16, 2006 Inservice
Karen moved that a motivational speaker come in the first day for 45 minutes or so.
John Whetzal seconded the motion. Motion carried 17-0.
Superintendent, building time, lunch, motivational in the afternoon
5. Discussion on Early Release Teaming Focus
Thinking skills and literacy including reading, enjoying reading and writing.
Teachers watching other teachers teach.
Make more time for across the district teaming and core subject teaming.
Summarize progress of each team.
Health and Wellness.
Teaming once a month in building. Teaming once each 9 weeks across district.
6. Inservice Points Timeline
(Renew PDC Plan)
Melissa moved to apply to the state to change the timeline.
Rhonda Trimble seconded the motion. Motion carried 17-0.
The PDC chair is to check into what it would take to amend the PDC Plan.
7. PDC Elections
John Whetzal – chair for 2006-07
Meetings will be scheduled next year.
8. MAP (MAP could take the place of ITBS)
Sherri Alverson made a motion to buy into the MAP testing to replace ITBS.
Rhonda Trimble seconded the motion.
Sherri Alverson amended her motion to: Pat Meier will research the cost. get more information about MAP (grades 2 thru 11) and make the decision whether to buy into the MAP testing to replace ITBS.
Rhonda Trimble seconded the motion. Motion carried 17-0.
Rhonda Trimble adjourned the meeting at 2:23p.m.
