District Level Team

Minutes

December 11, 2002

The meeting of the District Level Team was called to order on December 11, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. in the Central Office by John Showman. 

 

Members attending:  John Showman, Rex Mauck, Beth Reust, Skip McMillen,  Sharmon Polson, Shelly Hasenkamp, Bob Myers, Karen Morton, Patty Lewis, Tom Schroeder, and Sherri Wells. 

 

Absent:  Brenda Bergman, Janelle Glatczak, Martin Dulohery

 

  1. Approval of Agenda

Bob Myers moved to approve the agenda as presented. 

Rex Mauck seconded the motion.  Motion carried 10-0.

 

  1. Approval of Minutes from November 6, 2002, Meeting.   

Skip McMillen moved to approve the November 6, 2002 minutes.

Bob Myers seconded the motion.  Motion carried 10-0. 

 

  1. Evaluation of awarding inservice points. 

Committee discussed questions regarding the inservice plan.  Some of the questions were:

  1. What to do with points turned in that are overdue?
  2. Can bonus points be awarded for core time?
  3. Can SIT team members get bonus points?  Old SIT team members cannot go back and get bonus points, the time allowed to put in for bonus point is past, but the new members can get bonus points if it is within the time allowed. 

 

  1. Technology/Inservice Plan Evaluations

Reviewed the evaluations from recent inservices.  From the comments on the evaluations we need to think about what to do for inservices next year. 

 

  1. Discussion on February 17th Inservice with Sherry Reed

Sherry Reed will do Mapping in the morning and GACK in the afternoon.

The vocational teachers needs to work on mapping math and reading standards in their curriculum.  Beth and Karen will work out the mapping.  The February 17 inservice will be at Centralia. 

 

  1. Evaluate present Inservice plan with Theresa Steinlage

Theresa was not at the meeting.  John will contact her for the next meeting. 

 

  1. Next meeting

The next meeting of the district level team will be Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at 3:45 p.m. in the Central Office. 

 

Bob Myers made a motion to adjourn the meeting.

Rex Mauck seconded the motion.

 

Meeting was adjourned at 5:15 p.m.
